Finding a contractor

Most log home manufacturers have a dealer or builder network, but there are places in the world that you might want to build and the log home manufacturer has no log home dealer or log home builder. It is common practice for the consumer to locate a log home builder in the area that can or is willing to build a log home. Some log home manufacturer’s product is more difficult than others to assemble. The easiest system to put together is a log home kit that is fastened with the “Thru-bolt” fastening system and pre-cut log packages where the hole for the “Thru-bolts” are pre-drilled providing a very user friendly system that can be assembled with as few as 2 people. Most log home manufacturers will offer technical assistance by a certified person who has years of experience with their building systems for 1 or 2 days. Some log home manufacturers offer this for free while others charge you for this service. If the log home manufacturer does not have technical assistance available, maybe this log home manufacturer should not be on your list of consideration. If any log home manufacturer cannot provide you with technical assistance, you must think of what else will they not provide you.
