NEW WIRELESS SYSTEM FROM AD HOCK READ BELOW Electrical People wonder how you set the electrical outlets and light switches in the walls, very simple…drill a hole. You have 3 options on how you would like to have your electrical installed. 1) In the log wall 2) Floor mounted 3) Baseboard with box channel To install electrical in the log walls your plans will show where they need to be to meet local building codes. If you want additional out lets the designer will show these locations or you can go to the job site and have your contractor mark the location on his set of prints and on the floor to show the electrician. As they start to set the logs and the outlets are marked on the sub-floor and when a course of logs is laid down the contractor will drill down through the log and sub-floor. Every time a row of logs are set down they repeat this process until they reach the desired height. Then they will use a hole saw bit and drill in the side of the log to intersect the hole going down through the sub-floor. The contractor will then rout out the hole and fit the electrical box into place. To install light switches and exterior lights the contractor will cut a dado cut vertically on the logs in the door opening and run the wiring up this channel to the height of the interior light switch and up to height of exterior light. The contractor will drill in horizontally and then will drill in the side of the log to intersect the horizontal hole. We see more homeowners selecting to have their electrical outlets installed in the floors. This way the can move furniture around and have access to electric in the middle of a room. The contractor will drill through the sub-floor to easily install electrical outlets. This is the most convenient and economical way to install your electrical. He third way to install electrical outlets is to use base board trim that has a box channel routed in the back to run wiring through. By using a base board trim you can easily pop it off the wall and add additional outlets in the future if you feel you need more. This base trim is a beautiful way to finish a room where the walls meet the floors. NEW PRODUCT TO SAVE YOU MONEY FOR ELECTRICIANS AND MATERIALS Ad Hoc's Log Home Wireless electrical system
